What is KT Yoga Therapy?
A method of
Complementary Therapy

Complementary Therapy - Yoga Therapy
In Brief
The individual and their concerns are at the center of the therapeutic process in a professional setting of Yoga Therapy as part of Complementary Therapy. The aim is to promote self-awareness and strengthen self-regulation. By combining these elements with existing strengths and resources, the therapy supports the development of long-term health and well-being.
Complementary Therapy - Yoga Therapy is generally a short-term therapeutic process consisting of 6–8 sessions. It can be offered in individual sessions or in a small therapeutic group setting. The approach is method-oriented, body-centered, and process-focused.
Through regular and independent practice of a personalized yoga program — including movement, breathing, and meditation techniques — you will gradually work toward clearly defined and measurable goals in everyday life.
In Detail
This Complementary Therapy uses physical postures (asanas), breathing practices, and meditation in a targeted and therapeutic way to initiate holistic and sustainable health-promoting processes.
With an individually designed Yoga Therapy program, you can:
-
Support your health from a preventive perspective
-
Complement conventional medical treatment or other natural therapies
-
Activate your body’s self-healing capacities
-
Improve quality of life when living with chronic conditions
-
Cultivate greater confidence, resilience, and inner calm
During your individual sessions, we develop a practice tailored specifically to your personal circumstances and needs. This program can then be integrated into your daily life and practiced independently at home.
Session 1 - Assessment, Goal Setting & Practice Development
During the initial consultation, we assess your health, any current symptoms or challenges, and your personal concerns and goals.
The first session focuses primarily on dialogue and understanding your unique situation. Together, we define a therapeutic goal and develop a personalized yoga practice tailored to your needs and available time. s we explore the practice together, adjustments are made to ensure that the exercises are both realistic and sustainable. You will receive written or illustrated instructions to support your home practice.
To achieve meaningful and lasting results, the exercises should be practiced regularly over an extended period.
Session 2 - 5 - Refinement, Development & Deepening
Approximately two weeks later, we review your experiences with the home practice.
Based on your feedback, the program is refined and further adapted to your needs. During the following sessions, held at gradually increasing intervals, the practice is progressively developed, deepened, and expanded.
Additional breathing techniques are introduced to calm and focus the mind and may naturally lead into short meditation practices.
Session 6 - Evaluation & Integration
During the final session, we review your progress, assess the effectiveness of the practice, and discuss how yoga can continue to support you in daily life.
You will receive guidance on integrating the practice sustainably into your lifestyle.
Further sessions can be arranged if you wish to deepen your practice, refresh your motivation, or adapt your program to changing circumstances and needs.
Duration & Scheduling
The initial consultation lasts approximately 90–120 minutes, depending on the length of the practice developed, and includes a comprehensive assessment.
Follow-up sessions generally last between 60 and 90 minutes. Additional time beyond the scheduled session length is charged separately.
The standard series consists of six sessions spread over approximately one year, with increasing intervals between appointments. Appointments are arranged individually
